2020 Apple Music Awards: And the winners are…

The “Artist of the Year” is none other than Lil Baby, while Megan Thee Stallion is the “Breakthrough Artist of the Year.”

Lil Baby expressed his happiness upon winning the honor, interacting with Apple Music.

“This year has changed me a lot. Now that I’m an artist, I feel like my voice can get heard through my music, and I needed to say something. And my fans listened. So thank you to my fans and thank you to Apple Music for giving me a special way to connect to my fans.”

On the other hand, Megan Thee Stallion has ruled this year with her Cardi B collaboration WAP. It was quite controversial as well, but the majority of listeners liked it a lot. Upon getting the award, she said that it’s a big accomplishment for her.

“Apple Music has been rocking with me for so long, even before making me an Up Next artist, and I am very appreciative and very grateful. I will forever love ya’ll as much as ya’ll love me.”

Speaking of other honors, Taylor Swift has won the Songwriter of the Year title. And of course, it’s because of the immense praise and admiration for her folklore album this year.

And lastly, Roddy Ricch won two awards. His track The Box bagged Top Song of the Year. On the other hand, his Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial also won in the Top Album of the Year category.

About the music awards
