The Mafia: Trilogy will contain three Definitive Editions of the classic action game series. It features better graphics and additional gameplay.
2K Games has announced the release of Mafia: Trilogy with little heads up. While the series should have been an excellent open-world action-adventure series, the delivery of the bundle feels incomplete.
The Definitive Edition bundle contains Mafia, Mafia 2, and Mafia 3. The trilogy will be released on different dates. Some games will only be available on certain consoles on May 19.
The trilogy was released last May 19, 2020 on the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. However, only two of the games were available during the launch date.
Mafia: Definitive Edition
The original Mafia remake by Hanger 13 was the only game that wasn’t available in some consoles during its release date.
The developers confirmed that the game will be released on the Playstation 4, PC and Xbox One as a standalone game.
On the other hand, those who have purchased the trilogy will receive this game on August 28, 2020. The game will also be released on Google Stadia but the specific launch date hasn’t been discussed yet.
Mafia 2: Definitive Edition
The HD definitive edition of the 2010 Mafia 2 was released for the Playstation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Steam last May 19, 2020.
Buying the trilogy today will let users play the game immediately. Players who already purchased the game on Steam should also have the game installed in their account now.
The developers are also planning to release the game on Google Stadia and Epic Games Store. However, they have not announced a specific date yet.
Mafia 3: Definitive Edition
Mafia 3 is now also available on the PlayStation 4, Steam, and Xbox One. Same as Mafia 2, the game will be immediately playable to everyone who will purchase the Mafia: Trilogy bundle.
The game will also be made available on Google Stadia and Epic Games Store. However, release dates on these platforms are to be announced yet.
Mafia Trilogy story
In each of the games featured on the trilogy, players will take on the role of a person trying to make a name inside an organized crime syndicate.
Players will have to complete missions in urban environments such as Lost Heaven in Mafia, Empire Bay in Mafia 2, and New Bordeaux in Mafia 3.
In Mafia, players will play as Tommy Angelo as he rises through the ranks of a renowned Italian gang during The Prohibition.
For the second game, war veteran Vito Scaletta gets involved with criminals while finding a way to pay his father’s debts. He is forced to take risks and face its consequences.
In Mafia 3, players will portray the life of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam war veteran whose family was murdered by the Mafia. He joins them in an effort to get revenge on the member responsible for the killings.
2k Games‘ Mafia Trilogy seems to be a great deal for all the fans of the series since the three games are offered for the price of one.
