New data has revealed that 90 percent of Apple devices have adopted iOS 14 software so far since it was first announced last September.
iOS 14 has been a fan favorite since the moment it made its very debut in 2020 due to many new features and customization options. Apple also made it secure with increased privacy options.
iOS 14 is a hit across Apple users
As per the data from Mixpanel, the adoption rate for iOS 14 among the users has reached 90 percent for compatible devices. Last December, this share stood at 81 percent.
It means that more people have shown interest in the latest version of Apple’s operating system.
Mixpanel is an analyst firm that recently came up with its report saying that more than 90 percent of iPhones and iPads are now running the current OS.
It’s been only less than seven months since iOS 14 initially came out.
On the other hand, just 5.07 percent of Apple users are on iOS 13, while 4.48 percent are still on iOS 12.
It implies that the current OS’s popularity has only escalated since it was first unveiled in 2020’s WWDC. And there’s a simple reason for that.
The introduction of revolutionary features and enhanced privacy settings influenced many users to make their minds ready for an update.
There are constantly new options and tweaks getting added to the software with new betas and public versions.
iPhone owners can now also change the look and theme of their phones. It wasn’t possible before.
Currently, there’s a lot of anticipation for the upcoming iOS 14.5 update, rumored to be released soon.
New reveals are coming soon
Meanwhile, the California tech giant is working on its next line-up for 2021.
As per solid rumors, Apple is said to reveal its first event this month. AirTags and AirPods Studio are expected to make their debut.
Due to several issues, the company didn’t release the last year.
Then there is the WWDC in June, which will prove to be huge for tech enthusiasts. Its main highlight will be the iOS 15 software version. Just like iOS 14, it’s speculated to come up with even more privacy-based features.
Apple Watch will also see an upgrade with Series 7 in the coming months.
However, all eyes will be on the next generation of iPhones.
New leaks have revealed that iPhone 13 might arrive at the end of September. And as expected, it’s bound to offer some additions in design, camera, display, and storage options.
