Kim Kardashian disclosed how she sees the COVID-19 pandemic as the primary trigger of Kanye West’s bipolar disorder.
Through the years, Kanye West’s bipolar disorder created headlines, which left damaging impacts on his family.
This time, his wife Kim, believes that the rapper’s struggles with his condition worsened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A source recently told Us Weekly that the KKW Beauty mogul feels “deeply disappointed and sad” since Kanye is suffering again.
“It’s a vicious cycle that Kim has had success at interrupting successfully for months at a time,” the insider revealed.
Because of the alarming number of COVID-19 cases, it also brought social implications to Kanye, inflicting more problems to them. Living alone also made it even harder for the rapper to suppress his feelings and thoughts.
Is Kim Not Surprised by Kanye Being Hardheaded?
In the same report, the insider revealed that Kim “is not surprised” of how the 43-year-old rapper refuses to follow his care plan.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, reportedly, said that her husband’s downward spiral due to COVID-19 keeps overwhelming him.
“Being isolated and alone essentially in his head isn’t healthy for Kanye,” the source added.
What Kim Feels Toward Kanye’s Alarming Tweets
As the rapper continues to post Twitter rants, the source also disclosed how Kim really feels about the tweets.
According to the insider, Kim sees it as “Kanye being Kanye,” and she does not care about the tweets. However, his mood swings and manic episodes trouble her as she finds it challenging to help him cope with it.
“[Kim has been] patient, given him the space to be creative, hoping that would be a healthy outlet for him to express himself,” the insider said. “[It is the] best intentions often lead to negative outcomes.”
The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary earlier this year, and they have had many ups and downs recently.
This included Twitter rants where West aired the family’s private details during his presidential speech back in July.
He also caught the public’s attention when he shared (then deleted) a series of tweets about Kim. Per Kanye, Kim tried to get him hospitalized because of his mental state.
The public first discovered that he had bipolar disorder when Kanye told late-night host David Letterman about it in 2019. During that time, he admitted how the diagnosis affected his life as it caused him to be “ramped up.”
