A ‘Marvel’s Wolverine’ game is coming from Insomniac

The PlayStation Showcase turned into a big event thanks to multiple reveals. And Marvel’s Wolverine game announcement is one of them!

Insomniac, unexpectedly, showcased exclusive, brief footage from Marvel’s Wolverine project during the PS online event. Fans will surely get excited after this.

‘Marvel’s Wolverine’ game: What to know?

The developer behind Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Spider-Man is now moving into another Marvel realm. But this time, there will be Adamantium claws!

Marvel’s Wolverine game is still in early development, exclusively for PS5.

In the first teaser, we see a cowboy hat man sitting at the bar, with The Dark End of the Street by James Carr playing in the background. Another man approaches him, from behind, with a knife.

And then, the classic claws make their appearance before the clip cuts to black, revealing the identity of the cowboy hat person.

Official PlayStation blog mentions that Marvel’s Wolverine is a standalone game. Brian Horton and Cameron Christian are the directors of the project.

Cameron Christian was also a lead on Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

While sharing the info, the PS blog also stated a comparison with Spider-Man titles.

“Both heroes feel deeply compelled to defend people who are less able to do so.”

Insomniac has been busy for the past year. It is the last offering, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, released earlier this year. Not to mention that it became a critical as well as commercial success.

Now that the developer is diving, once again, into the Marvel universe, it will be interesting to see the ultimate result.

Fans will be hoping for a bloody and gory take, for sure, given the nature of Logan, aka Wolverine.
