On the variety program Yoo Quiz on the Block, Girls’ Generation reunites after a four-year hiatus, and fans are ecstatic.
It’s been a while since fans have seen Girls’ Generation, everyone’s favorite second-generation girl group. While each of the members has been preoccupied with their hobbies and professions, the group as a whole has not met in a long time.
Girls’ Generation’s fans saw all eight members together in 2017 when they released their sixth studio album, Holiday Night. Fans had no clue that following the promotion of Holiday Night, they would see the whole ensemble for the final time.
After a few months, SM Entertainment announced that Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun had decided not to extend their contracts. Instead, they were preoccupied with their professions.
However, the contract had been signed by the remainder of the members, and the group as a whole had not dissolved. The most recent update on the organization’s status stated that talks were underway about how the group will carry out future operations. However, we may see Girls’ Generation a lot sooner than we thought.

Girls’ Generation will return after a four-year hiatus
With the group’s comeback on a variety program in 2021, it seems that SONEs (Girls’ Generation fans) will have a great year. Indeed, the group’s leader Taeyeon returned with her newest song, Weekend, a few weeks ago, and fans were ecstatic to see her promote it on music programs.
Hyoyeon will also make a comeback as DJ HYO in August, according to reports. Tiffany may also be seen as a coach on Mnet’s survival program Girls Planet 999. During an interview about her current K-drama, Yuri also said that the group would be back soon.
Taeyeon also suggested that the females were plotting something and that they were in regular contact.
It had only been a matter of time. We owe it to comedian and presenter Yoo Jae-suk and his variety of programs to thank for this. He was known for pulling off the seemingly impossible, forming project collaborations with Rain, Lee Hyori, Uhm Jung-hwa, Jessi, and Hwasa.
Ed Sheeran and BTS both took note of his most recent project group, MSG Wannabe. SONEs have now placed their whole faith in him, claiming that he is the only one who can bring the Girls’ Generation together.
The group working on their busy schedules
According to a representative for Jae-variety suk’s program, Yoo Quiz on the Block, they are presently working around each of the members’ schedules to make a complete group appearance.
While the date has not yet been set, the talks are progressing well, and they are confident that they will be able to get all of the ladies together for a variety show appearance.
Many fans are hoping for a 14th-anniversary celebration since the show first aired on August 5, 2007. The program airs every Wednesday, and this year’s August 5 falls on a Thursday, so it’d be ideal scheduling.
