Alejandra Lopez to helm a future Marvel Studios project.
According to CBR, the unknown freelance director, screenwriter, and actor Alejandra Lopez shared the news herself. She revealed it in her Facebook post.
She is seen sitting on a chair behind a Marvel logo displayed on a TV screen in the post. She also wrote that the project would take her to Burbank, Calif.
There’s not much detail on who she is, but so far, she’s worked on a short film called The Blue Cape. She also wrote the story for this movie.
Alejandra Lopez career and projects
Talking about her in detail, she also acted in several shows like Good News and Presumed Dead in Paradise.
She was also a part of El Florista, Mi Princesa, and The Inspectors.
Apart from this, there’s nothing else that is widely known about her.
Marvel Studios likes to keep it simple and secretive when hiring new talent for upcoming shows and movies. Its been a trend for the last few years.
Just last month, an unknown actress Iman Vellani was cast as Ms. Marvel in Disney+ series under the MCU. She will be seen playing Kamala Khan in the show.
However, it’s not clear which project Alejandra Lopez is tapped for because all shows and films in Phase four of MCU have their makers confirmed.
Only a few of them are left without a director like a movie Blade, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. The last two are yet to be announced officially.
Moon Knight and the Untitled Nick Fury series are yet to get their showrunners on the TV side.
Upcoming Marvel Studios shows and films
Speaking of future projects of Marvel, then there are a lot. Due to COVID-19 and its global impact, many of the shows and films are delayed now.
And that has made the schedule quite messy and overloaded because it will be difficult for Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige to manage so many titles under the MCU.
Speaking of Phase four line-up, though, there are Black Widow, Eternals, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. They will be followed by Spider-Man 3, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in 2022.
TV series for Disney+ include WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ms. Marvel, Loki, and Hawkeye, among many others.
Coming back to Moon Knight and Nicky Fury series, then it might happen that Alejandra Lopez must have been hired for one of them.
But again, it’s just unclear speculation as of now.
