Sega title remake Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is coming soon and earlier than expected, coming out on June 22, which is two days earlier than expected.
In an announcement trailer, Merge Games announced that Sega’s one-time mascot Alex Kidd is about to make a comeback. Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is coming this month. For fans of retro titles, this is a great way to enjoy a game from their childhood.
Alex Kidd was once Sega’s mascot
Alex Kidd is one of the most-beloved titles for Sega during its heyday. The character peaked in the late 80s to early 90s, first coming out for the Sega Master System in 1986. The entire franchise had as many as six titles, with the last coming out in 1990.
During this time, Alex Kidd was noted to be on par with Mario as the mascot for Sega, well before Sonic even came into the picture. Now, Alex Kidd is making a comeback after more than 30 years of hiatus.
The Miracle World DX trailer shows off what fans of the title can expect from the game. The showcase has some gorgeous retro pixel art with cleaner details and feisty color. The 1-to-1 recreation of the original game will hit fans right in the feels.
Miracle World DX offers new levels, low requirements
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is a great game that has not lost its indie feel. The trailer has not yet shown obvious gameplay improvements, but it should be obvious once fans play the game. There are also new levels coming that expands Miracle World further.

The game is quite lightweight too, with the game able to run even with potato PCs and laptops. The game is trying to appeal to a large audience too, so it should be a blast.
The game is coming earlier too, coming out on June 22 rather its original June 24 target. This is good for those looking to play Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX as early as they can. The remake will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
