U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seems to be ready for a streaming career. She now has a Twitch account ready for use.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that she’s looking for people who want to play Among Us with her. She’s looking for people to help her encourage voters, which is a great cause. People are excited, and she’s likely going to enjoy it.
AOC taps the internet to vote
AOC is one of the more charismatic but polarizing figures in U.S. politics. She is, by all means, a fire-breathing liberal, which is nothing but a good thing. She’s a smart millennial who believes in equal rights and social justice, representing the 14th district of New York.

Her views, widely seen as socialist in nature, can be controversial at times. Conservatives love to hate her for her radical, non-centrist political leanings. It doesn’t help that she’s a woman of color either—something very much against their leanings.
As one of the most important elections are coming, AOC is looking to tap on the internet. It seems she’ll do so by using Twitch as a medium, which is awesome. Young voters turning out will be crucial in the coming weeks.
Among her attempts in Twitter, AOC is looking to get enough streamers to play Among Us with her. As she’s an internet icon herself, it’s hard for social media stars not to take the call.
it’d be an honor 😭🙏🏻

Streamers like Pokimane, Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, and Twomad are more than ready to help. Even Minnesota 5th district rep Ilhan Omar wants to join in.
So far, she has a Twitch account ready and even got one of the fastest purple checks ever. She noted she’s getting some streaming equipment ready and will stream soon.

AOC is not the first politician on Twitch
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitch will likely break the site. She’s already attracted 142,000 followers at the time of this writing. People are waiting for her debut on the game streaming platform.
It’s not the first time that politicians and government bodies use social media platforms so far. For example, The US Army eSports team is using their Twitch as a recruitment tool. Bernie Sanders is also on Twitch, among many politicians.
Even then, AOC is the first known politician to use Twitch for its intended purpose: gaming. She’ll play with others, rather than stream some boring platitudes nobody will listen to. It’s a smart tactic too.
Using gaming helps make the message, to “come out and vote, “ more palatable. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez knows what she’s doing and how to reach out. It’s only a matter of time before the world sees AOC wonder who’s sus.
