Alienware X-Series gaming laptops launched: Features new cooling technology

Alienware X15 includes an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU with Intel Core i9-11900H CPU.

As part of a new laptop series, the Dell-owned subsidiary Alienware x15 R1 and Alienware x17 R1  introduced to customers. The new versions come with a small design which considers the thinnest in its market. The business named it the “world’s strongest 15-inch gaming laptop sub-16mm” with 15.9mm thickness, especially for the Alienware x15.

The newly announced Razer Blade 15 Advanced is about the 15.8mm thicket. Both personal laptops include mobile Processors from the 11th Gen Intel Core H-series. In addition, Alienware x17 comes with the optional mechanical Cherry MX keyboard to provide PC gamers with scope changes.

On the new Alienware laptops, the cooling system is the most significant feature. Both laptops use a material called Element 31 thermal interfacing constructed of an encapsulated liquid metal composite of Gallium-Silicone and that place between the CPU and the thermal element. Alienware is aiming to enhance its competitiveness by 25 percent.

Apart from a new thermal interface material, the new Laptops include a thermal control system that enables users to set a limit of the CPU temperature, including full speed, efficiency fashion, balanced mode, battery saving, silent mode, and three customized power states. They may all modify the cooling, the fan, etc., to different performance or efficiency levels.

Alienware x15 R1 is also designed using the company’s Legend 2.0 design identity, with a “Dark Core” chassis, in addition to thermal management innovations. It just adds a black keyboard deck to decrease the reflection on the screen. The Alienware m15 R5 and m15 R6 have also been installed earlier.

The Alienware x15 features a 15.6-inch view with 1080p resolution/360Hzen refresh rate or 1440p resolution/240Hz refresh rate configuration options. ComfortView Plus, a hardware, low-bleu lighting solution that helps to minimize vision stress may also add to customers. It is available up to Intel Core i9-11900H CPU, combined with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU and up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM (8Gb of dedicated GDDR6 memory). The laptop can hold up to 4TB of storage capacity.

Alienware x17 R1 specifications

The 17.3-inch display of the Alienware x17 R1 has the same resolution and refresh rate options as the x15. The computer is built with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and an Intel Core i9-11900HK CPU, and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080.
