Selling Sunset’s Amanza Smith gets real about her past relationships, explain why it did not work out with Taye Diggs.
Interior designer turned real estate agent, Amanza Smith has been a fan favorite after joining the cast of Selling Sunset in Season 2. But she has always been relatively private about her life before the show, until now.
Her past relationships
Amanza Smith, 43, a mom of two, opened up about her love life on an episode of the Dear Media podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat hosted by Amanda Hirsch on Tuesday.
She shared a few famous exes that many fans of her Netflix show might not know about, including her relationships with JC Chasez, singer Danny O’Donoghue and Taye Diggs.
The Netflix star said she realized that the stars did not align with her romance with Taye. Although they were in a relationship for five years, Amanza explained that neither one was in the right place to date.
When she was asked what the one great thing about their romance was, she replied that they could easily blend with their families throughout their relationship.
The Netflix star has two kids, daughter Noah, 10, and son Braker, 8, with ex-husband and former NFL player Ralph Brown. Amanza discussed during Selling Sunset that her ex went missing in August 2019 and has not been seen since.
She also added that Taye’s son is the same age as her daughter, and they still have a playdate, and she even drops her kids off at Idina’s house to have playdates and sleepovers there with Walker.
Taye and Amanza decided to head in their separate ways in 2018. However, the Selling Sunset star says she had good memories to mention regarding the actor, “He is a beautiful human being,” she added.
Her choice of prominent personalities
Amanza additionally revealed about her temporary romance with the previous NSYNC band member, JC. She said that she dated him off and on for many years, noting that they had to stay shut these days. She added that she and Mary Fitzgerald would go to the concerts and think they were so cool.
Meanwhile, Amanza has been in a relationship with a couple of regular men, and she defined her reasoning for courting one of the crucial extra well-known ones.
She said that she had dated so many regular men, but then her friends do not remember any ordinary men. They can only remember the fancy men she dated.
Amanza concluded by sharing that her friends have always asked her why she doesn’t just date ordinary people. “I have a big personality. I like big personalities,” she answered.
