How to take advantage of the deal
As indicated in the official website of the Food Network, as well as on Amazon, Fire TV and Fire tablet users can just follow some easy steps in order to start availing of the free one-year offer.
First of all, they need to make sure that the Food Network Kitchen app is installed on their Fire TV or Fire tablet.
Having done that, they can just launch the app, select a renewal option, and click the “Activate Now” button.
After that, it’s just a matter of logging in to their existing Amazon accounts in order to start enjoying access to the cooking shows.
The We Cook Together initiative
Along with the free one-year offer, Amazon and the Food Network Kitchen app are also joining forces on another initiative called We Cook Together.
In this weekend initiative that runs for a couple of days only—May 2 and May 3, the two brands are streaming live classes straight from the kitchens of chefs and celebrities themselves.
The big names include Valerie Bertinelli, Amanda Freitag, Scott Conant, Tyler Florence, Bobby Flay, Marc Murphy, Alex Guarnaschelli, Jet Tila, and Michael Symon.
Apart from host stars, each class will also come with its own live Q&A, which means that for Fire TV and Fire tablet users tuning in, they can actually interact in real-time if they choose to.
Other Amazon partnerships to check out
Amazon has been busy teaming up with other brands lately. For instance, earlier this month, the tech giant joined forces with SXSW to launch a digital film fest from April 27 to May 6.
Then a week later, Amazon’s Twitch announced that it is expanding its Watch Parties feature to include not only its existing partners but all streamers in America, as well.
