Amber Heard, reportedly, coerced and shamed her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, into marrying her.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are still embroiled in a legal battle four years after they reached a divorce settlement. According to one of Depp’s pal, she somewhat forced the Pirates of the Caribbean star into marrying her.
Amber Heard forced Johnny Depp to marry her
The Blast obtained a legal document containing Joe Richman’s statement about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s marriage. Richman is a close friend of Depp.
According to him, Depp’s friends did not approve of Heard for him. Although they were present at their wedding, they were not happy with the Fantastic Beast star’s decision.
“None of the few of Johnny’s actual friends who attended were happy Johnny was marrying Amber, and we discussed it openly,” Richman stated.
He also said that Heard abused Depp emotionally and even intimidated and forced him to tie the knot with her.
“Johnny, whom we all knew was more than coerced and shamed into proceeding with Amber’s demand to be married before Johnny was to depart shortly to film abroad,” he added.
Johnny Depp was emotionally abused by his ex-wife
Richman also shared his thoughts about Depp and Heard’s relationship. According to him, the general views of Depp’s friends was that Heard abused him emotionally.
First, Amber Heard cut him away from his real friends. Second, she was emotionally cruel to Johnny Depp.
There was also an incident when Heard faked a bloody nose and blamed it on Depp. She allegedly used red nail polish for it.
Richman said that The Tourist star seemed to live in fear of how she would act if he would break up with her. Depp’s family and friends felt that he succumbed to Heard’s demand to wed her for that reason.
Amber Heard and Johnny Deep’s marriage, divorce and legal battle
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp married on Feb. 5, 2015. After a little over a year, their legal battle started. On May 23, 2016, Heard filed for divorce and it was finalized in August of the same year with Heard walking away with $7 million.
The Aquaman actress also alleged that his ex-husband was abusive and violent during their marriage. As a result, Depp was dropped from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and was slammed by the public.
However, an audio recording leaked earlier this year with Heard confessing that she started their fight and hit Depp. It changed the narrative of their split with many netizens now supporting Depp. In fact, several are campaigning for justice for Depp.
Also, between the two, Heard was the one with a history of domestic abuse. In 2009, Heard was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence after she assaulted her then-girlfriend Tasya van Ree.
Meanwhile, Depp’s exes have nothing bad to say about him. Winona Ryder, Vanessa Paradis and Lori Anne Allison all said that Depp was loving, kind and sensitive.
