Amber Heard demanded Johnny make false statement about their dogs

Amber Heard, reportedly, demanded Johnny Depp to make a false statement about their dogs.

Kevin Murphy, a former employee of Depp, claimed that Amber Heard was repeatedly informed that she couldn’t smuggle their two dogs into Australia. However, the Aquaman actress, reportedly, didn’t listen.

After Heard’s dogs were smuggled into Australia, Murphy said that the actress urged Depp to make false statements about the incident.

Amber Heard wanted her former assistant to lie under oath

Depp’s former employee also said that Heard asked him to contact her former assistant, Kate James, and ask her to lie under oath at an Australian court.

“Specifically, Ms. Heard wanted Ms. James to give a false statement that Ms. Heard was unaware that it would be illegal for her to bring her dogs into Australia. Ms. Heard was aware that this was illegal because I had informed her repeatedly by email, telephone, and in-person,” Murphy said.

Depp’s former employee, reportedly, told Heard that he’s uncomfortable with making a false statement. And Murphy also said that he won’t ask James to do so.

Kevin Murphy’s written statement

Murphy’s statements in court were consistent with his written testimony.

“[Amber Heard] “demanded verbally that I myself make a false witness statement regarding the dogs’ illegal entrance into Australia. I expressed that I was extremely uncomfortable with doing so, to which Ms. Heard responded with words to the effect of, ‘Well, I want your help on this… I wouldn’t want you to have a problem with your job.’ Ms. Heard’s threatening language made me feel anxious and uneasy,” Murphy said.

Amber Heard, Johnny Depp issue an apology following dog smuggling incident

Five years ago, Heard and Depp made headlines after they took their dogs, Pistol and Boo into the country illegally. But since they did, the exes faced criminal proceedings in Australia.

In 2016, they recorded a video apologizing for what they did. Shortly after, Depp appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about the incident. He also explained his decision to apologize on the video.

“I think it was the choice they made to utilize the taxpayers’ dollars to globally chase down a couple of teacup Yorkies and give them 50 hours to live. I realized the badness of my ways. So, I was kind of repenting,” he said.

Host Jimmy Kimmel asked Depp if he watched the video after he recorded it with Heard, and he said no.

“No, because I didn’t want to kill myself,” he said.
