Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s legal battle continue years after their divorce. In fact, the Aquaman star went as far as paying a private investigator to help her case against Depp.
Amber Heard accused Johnny Depp of being abusive and violent when they were together. Her claims were very different from what Depp’s exes said.
So, the actress hired a private investigator to check Depp’s past and look for something that could strengthen her case against him. Unfortunately, the investigator didn’t find any.
Paul Barressi stepped out and told Daily Mail that Amber Heard’s legal team hired him to find people who had been verbally or physically abused by Johnny Depp. They wanted those individuals to be star witnesses against the Fantastic Beasts actor.
Heard’s lawyer told him that Depp battered and tormented her emotionally. Barressi went on and flew to U.S. France, Italy and Britain.
He interviewed those who worked with Depp in the past. Unfortunately for Heard, the trip wasn’t successful because he didn’t find a potential witness.
“I couldn’t find one instance, or at least an admitted one, where he was physically abusive to a woman, smacked or beaten around, he’s like an angel. Not one who said a deprecating thing,” Barresi said.
“I interviewed dozens of people, who knew him going as far back as three decades ago, and nobody had one bad thing to say about him. In fact, they couldn’t say enough about his ever flowing outpouring of generosity and tender heart.”
Amber Heard insisted that Johnny Depp abused her emotionally, but between the two it was her who was mean to the latter, according to some witnesses.
In Tara Roberts’ deposition, she shared how she witnessed Heard and Depp’s fight in the Bahamas. She saw how Heard attacked the Pirates of the Caribbean star verbally and physically.
At one point, Heard yelled at Depp and called him names. She also called the actor “fat.”
“She was insulting him, calling him names, and in the middle of this onslaught I heard her say specifically, ‘your career is over,’ ‘no one is going to hire you,’ ‘you’re washed up,’ ‘fat’, ‘you will die a lonely man.’”
Roberts added that Heard was screaming things that were incomprehensible. Meanwhile, Depp just told her to “go away” and “leave me alone.”
Amber Heard has not commented on Barressi’s statement that she hired him to look for evidence against Johnny Depp.
