Amber Heard shocked the world when she announced that she’s a mom to a baby daughter, Oonagh Paige via surrogate.
According to Us Weekly, Amber Heard welcomed her daughter, Oonagh Paige on April 8 via surrogate.
The Aquaman star kept the entire process a secret, allegedly, because of all the speculations surrounding who her baby daddy is.
Why Amber Heard kept her baby a secret
A source also claimed that Heard doesn’t feel the need to involve a lot of people in her daughter’s life right now. So, there’s no reason for her to let them in on the entire process.
“Amber’s very independent and always fiercely guarded about her privacy. This is obviously a sensitive scenario, but she will handle it with the baby’s best interests front and center,” the source said.
Amber Heard is a natural as a first-time mom
The insider also claimed that Heard is having a blast as a new mom.
“She is throwing herself into motherhood with everything she’s got. She has tons of energy and an endless supply of love in her heart for this baby girl. Her whole family is super proud of her,” the source said.
When Heard announced that she’s a mom of one, she also encouraged everyone to normalize having babies before or even without marriage.
“I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a wedding ring in order to have a crib. I wanted to do it on my own terms,” she said.
Amber Heard, Johnny Depp’s court battle continues
Meanwhile, Star claimed that Heard is putting the ugliness of her battle with Johnny Depp behind her. After all, she wants to make this the most positive time of her life.
In November, Depp lost his battle against British tabloids that called him a wife-beater. However, this isn’t where the exes’ battle would end.
In the coming months, Amber Heard and Depp will come face to face in court again for a U.S. defamation suit that the latter filed against his ex-wife.
The actress’s legal team is trying to get Depp’s $50 million lawsuit tossed for the third time before they reach a trial.
Her lawyer cited the British court’s decision to side with Amber Heard in the libel case as a reason why the defamation case should be tossed out.
