Johnny Depp’s lawyer showed a photo of Amber Heard trying to prove that she was lying about her claims that her former husband had been assaulting her.
Eleanor Laws submitted the snap to the London High Court as proof that Amber Heard was telling lies about the alleged beating she received from the actor.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star filed a libel case against the British tabloid The Sun over its article that named him a “wife-beater.” The piece was based on Heard’s claims that he had assaulted her throughout their relationship, which he vehemently denied.
A photo that questioned the honesty of Amber Heard
On her second day on the witness stand, the lawyer asked the 34-year-old actress if she would agree that there was no injury on her face in the photo.
The snap in question showed Depp, Heard, the Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, and her younger sister, Whitney Heard. According to Page Six, the Aquaman star claimed her then-husband assaulted her the night before the photo was taken in March 2013.
“Do you agree that there is absolutely no injury on your face in this photo?” Laws asked.
Heard admitted that she couldn’t tell from the photograph if her injuries were visible. However, she later said that her lip looked “slightly swollen.”
“Does this photo show you before or after you were hit by Mr. Depp?” Laws questioned her again.
Heard seemed to snap back at the lawyer, saying, “Which time? There were a lot of incidents in March.”

Thrown bottles like a grenade
Meanwhile, Heard also revealed that Depp threw about 30 bottles “like grenades” at her. It was her third appearance at the court and the 12th day of Depp’s libel trial.
Previously, the father-of-two claimed his ex-wife threw a bottle of vodka at him that cut the tip of his finger. The alleged incident happened when they were in Australia in March 2015.
“I got angry at times but not into a rage that would cause me to throw anything at him,” she told the court, per BBC.
Heard had accused Depp of repeatedly assaulting her when they were in Australia. The incidents, allegedly, happened when he was drunk or under the influence of drugs. Depp has denied these accusations.
So, when she saw him drinking, Heard took the bottle to stop him and smashed it on the floor.
“He started picking [bottles] up one by one and throwing them like grenades,” she revealed. “One after the other after the other, in my direction, and I felt glass breaking behind me, I retreated more into the bar, and he didn’t stop.”
“I was too scared to look behind me. He threw all the bottles that were in reach,” Amber Heard added.
