In 2018, Amber Heard was under fire for posting something about ICE checkpoints in her neighborhood. The initial tweet was already deleted, but one netizen took a screengrab and shared it on her page, Variety reported.
“Just heard there’s an ICE checkpoint in hollywood, a few blocks from where I live. Everyone better give their housekeepers, nannies and landscapers a ride home tonight…” Heard wrote.
Due to the tweet, many slammed Heard for being racist. According to other online users, the Aquaman star classified Hispanics as housekeepers, nannies, and landscapers.

Johnny Depp’s ex attended a protest rally
Meanwhile, just recently, Heard was under fire again due to a protest photo.
On June 5, Amber Heard shared a snap of her attending a protest rally. In the photo, she is wearing a mask and looking at something. Meanwhile, a cop is standing behind her.
“Standing in solidarity with those intent on changing a terribly flawed and broken system and for those who are demanding justice in support of countless black and brown lives lost to it,” Heard wrote on Instagram.
“I stand with all who are participating in this historic moment.”
Heard accused of staging her protest photo
However, many believed that Amber Heard staged her protest photo. Several pointed out to her emotional expression. According to some netizens, she appeared too dramatic.
Furthermore, a man named Trevor commented on Heard’s post admitting that he was the man behind Heard.
“I’m standing next to you,” he wrote.
And many believed in the comment because the cop behind Heard looked like him. Due to Trevor’s comment, many were convinced that the snap was fake.
Also, Trevor’s comment on Heard’s Instagram was gone, which only made the netizens speculate that there was some truth to it.
Petition to remove Heard from Aquaman
In related news, the petition to remove Amber Heard from the superhero movie Aquaman has received almost 500,000 signatures already.
The petition claims that Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser after she confessed that she punched Johnny Depp twice on the face.
Moreover, she injured the Pirates of the Caribbean actor after she went berserk when he opened up about their post-nuptial agreement.
The netizens have suggested several actresses who can potentially replace Heard as Mera in Aquaman 2.
Some of them wanted to see Emilia Clarke opposite Jason Momoa because the two looked good together based on their tandem on Game of Thrones.
Meanwhile, some also suggested Blake Lively, Dakota Johnson, and Deborah Ann Woll.
