Amber Heard showed off her skills for the upcoming installment of Aquaman 2.
After Johnny Depp’s fans launched a petition against Amber Heard, the actress will continue her journey on Aquaman 2. In fact, the filming for the second installment already began.
According to Warner Bros., the company eyes to release it in December 2022. As of the writing, details about the movie remain unknown. However, it has been confirmed that the original cast members will return, including Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul Mateen II, Jason Momoa, and Heard.
Recently, the actress shared a video on her Instagram account, showing her acrobatic workout. She will still play the role of Mera in the next movie.
“Flipping out #Aquaman2,” she captioned the post.

In the clip, she can be seen using her core strength to keep herself up on the rings. She also did a few flips during the workout.
Meanwhile, her fans left their comments on the post, congratulating her for the new development.
One fan said, “Oh I love you so much! Your laugh is music to my ears.”
“The upper body strength ! It’s almost inspiring me to try things I haven’t done since I was 9yo!” another wrote.
Why Amber is still on ‘Aquaman 2’?
Her appearance on the franchise was once unsure due to her ongoing legal battle with Johnny Depp.
However, director James Wan himself got her again and welcomed her to the cast members of Aquaman 2. He gave the next movie the official title of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
On Heard’s official Instagram account, she shared a photo of the welcome gift she received from James Wan and Rob.
“Amber – Welcome back to Atlantis. Love James & Rob,” the letter said.
But before this confirmation, rumors about her getting fired emerged online. Some of her former fans even called for her removal to give justice to Depp.
For what it’s worth, the actor lost all his titular role after his legal defeat against The Sun. He will no longer play the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and Gellert Grindelwald on Fantastic Beasts.
The rumors suggested that Heard faced health problems, opting Warner Bros. to remove her from the movie.
But with her recent updates, it is now clear that Amber Heard will not leave the DC Extended Universe anytime soon.
