Amber Heard accused her ex-husband Johnny Depp of being violent and abusive, but her friend denied her claims.
Amber Heard made several statements claiming that Johnny Depp hurt her, which resulted in bruises. However, those who were with her at the time of the alleged attack didn’t see any signs of abuse.
Amber Heard abuse allegations disputed
Amber Heard claimed that on May 21, 2016, Johnny Depp smashed her face during an altercation at home. She filed for divorce on May 23, 2016, with bruises on her face.
However, Heard’s friend, who was with her at the time, didn’t see any bruises on her face. According to Laura Divenere, she interacted with Heard days after her abuse allegations against Depp on May 23, 24, and 25.
Divenere said she worked with Heard, retrieved packages for her, and rode elevators with her. She saw the Aquaman star up close and in person and didn’t see any bruises.
“On none of those days immediately following the abuse claims did I observe any signs of physical abuse or injury, including redness, swelling, cuts, bruising, or damage of any kind. I never saw Amber injured in any way, although I am now aware that she has had many different abuse claims,” Divenere said.
Amber’s stylist claim the same
Amber Heard also claimed in court filings and the media that Johnny Depp violently abused her on Dec. 15, 2015, the night before she made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. However, her stylist didn’t see any cuts or bruises when she worked with Heard.
According to Samantha McMillen, she worked with Heard on Dec. 16, 2015, because she had a TV guesting. She saw Heard’s face in good light, at close range, and without makeup, and there were no signs of abuse.
“Throughout the day of December 16, 2015, I could see clearly that Amber Heard did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body. She appeared as a guest on the James Corden show that day,” McMillen said in court documents.
Heard could face three years of imprisonment
Johnny Depp’s camp alleged that Amber Heard just painted on her bruises to obtain a temporary restraining order (TRO) from him.
During the night Heard and Depp argued at home, he left without laying a hand on Heard. Thus, the Fantastic Beast actor was surprised when she showed up at the court with bruises.
The actress could face three years of imprisonment if she would be found guilty of faking evidence against her ex-husband.
According to the Wallin & Klarich Law Firm, the California Penal Code Section 141 PC stated that it is illegal to alter, modify, plant, place, conceal, manufacture or move any physical matter with the intention of causing someone to be charged with a crime. Some would face felony charges for this.
