‘American Horror Story’ spinoff announced to be in the works

Heads up to all horror series fans! Executive producer Ryan Murphy just announced that they are brewing an American Horror Story spinoff.

Murphy first announced the American Horror Story spinoff through an Instagram post. He revealed the news along with a photo of a Zoom conference call with the show’s cast members including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, and Emma Roberts among others.

The post delighted the fans so much with many saying that it was one conference call that they’d really want to join in.

The famous screenwriter started off his post by saying that they did some reminiscing of the good times while working for the series. He then went on to announce what they are planning to do in the future.

What are the details of the spinoff?

Murphy actually did not reveal a lot of details. All that he divulged through the caption is that they are doing a spinoff called American Horror Stories, which is a title very close to the mother series.

He also mentioned that it’s going to consist of episodes that will run for an hour and it will air as well on its home network. Other than that, there are no other details anymore regarding the offshoot of the anthology franchise.

He just went on to say that they also talked about their future plans for American Horror Story and when they will start filming the next season.

Before he closed his message, he said that they discussed more stuff. However, he cannot reveal the details to the public yet. He just said that they had so much fun catching up virtually and that he missed them so much.

AHS season 10

Murphy’s announcement of the American Horror Story spinoff came after a week of his latest update for AHS season 10. He revealed that season 10 will be pushed back a full year.

Production has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, thus, the shift of schedule of the next season.

“It was a weather-dependent show. So now I don’t know. I don’t know what we’re going to do,” Murphy said. “I don’t know what I’m gonna do next with that show. I don’t know if I’ll accelerate another season or wait till next year to shoot this one.”

For now, fans will just have to stay tuned for further updates of the American Horror Story spinoff.
