Ana de Armas is free and single again, and Ben Affleck’s brother believes she could be the best version of herself again soon.
Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck decided to end their one-year relationship a few weeks after moving in together.
While the split was mutual, Affleck’s brother believes that de Armas will heal faster and better than the actor.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight to promote his new movie Our Friend, Casey Affleck said that this year tested almost every relationship.
“I wouldn’t know because I’ve been single, but I bet there are a lot of people that have, you know, it’s been challenging to relationships,” Casey added.
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old actor also complimented de Armas for being the “sweetest, funniest, smartest, most charming person.”
Because of this, he thinks that the actress will not have any problems if she decides to meet somebody else.
Casey hopes de Armas the best
Obviously, there is no bad blood between their families. In fact, Casey took his time to wish de Armas the best in her career.
Currently, the actress starred in Knives Out and Blade Runner 2049. De Armas also became part of No Time To Die, Blonde, and Deep Water.
Speaking about de Armas’ performance on Blonde, Casey said that the actress perfectly portrayed Marilyn Monroe’s role.
He then bet that she would be grabbing every single award this year.
“I think she’s a catch in every way. And I’ll be there to carry Ben through it, but I don’t think he’ll have any problems [either],” he added.
Casey also took his time to give them advice, telling them to think hard about it since being single during quarantine is no fun.
Why the couple broke up?
On Monday, a source confirmed to People that Affleck is no longer dating de Armas. The actress reportedly broke it off after the relationship became complicated.
De Armas also did not want to settle down in Los Angeles, while Affleck has to stay in the state to be near his kids.
Affleck shares three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner — Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Meanwhile, a different source told Page Six that the two were in “different places” in their lives.
“He would not commit to having more kids. She is in her 30s. It was a deal-breaker,” the insider revealed.
