Palm Springs movie plot and details
The romantic comedy first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. It emerged out as a Grand Jury Prize nominee in the event.
It also broke the record of the biggest sale in the history of the film festival. Later in 2020, it was launched on the Hulu network.
The movie follows the story of Niles (Andy Samberg) and Sarah (Cristin Milioti). They both encounter each other during the Palm Springs wedding. The situation becomes tense when they become unable to escape the venue or even each other.
Other cast members on the project are J.K. Simmons, Meredith Hagner, Camila Mendes, Tyler Hoechlin, and Peter Gallagher.
Upon the news of joining Amazon as the streaming service, lead actor Samberg said:
“We’re thrilled that ‘Palm Springs’ is finally going to reach audiences outside of the U.S., and we hope that all the Prime members in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the U.K., France, and the Netherlands enjoy the genre-bending ride.”
Max Barbakow has directed the film while Andy Siara is the writer. Limelight, Lonely Island Classics, and FilmNation Entertainment are the producers. Gabby Revilla Lugo is the executive producer.
