According to OK! magazine, Angelina Jolie continues to splurge thousands on her kids’ shopping demands because not buying them expensive presents could mean they will support Brad Pitt instead.
“It’s pretty shameless the way she’s been spoiling the kids,” a source said.
Jolie, allegedly, buys her children designer clothes, expensive gadgets, jewelry, and more every time they ask her to. In fact, even if they are not asking Jolie for anything, the actress would offer it to them.
“She often closes down stores in Beverly Hills to take them shopping and thinks nothing of dropping $50,000 a pop. She knows Brad would never do this to curry favor with the kids, and that’s exactly the point,” the source said.
The insider added that Jolie is determined to retain primary custody of her children that’s why she’s spoiling them. However, she doesn’t want other people to think that she’s trying to win her kids over.
“They’ve been through some tough years, and Angie’s doing whatever she can to make them happy,” the source said.
This isn’t the first time that Jolie is rumored to be spoiling her children in exchange for their love and support.
Earlier this month, Star claimed that Jolie’s biggest fear is that her children would turn against her and choose Pitt amid their ongoing custody battle.
So, she, allegedly, organizes $50,000 worth of private shopping for kids on a regular basis. And so far, this has worked in her favor.
However, there’s no denying the fact that it’s also taking a toll on the actress’s bank account.
Unfortunately, Pitt doesn’t support what his ex-wife is doing because he has always tried to raise his children to be as normal as possible.
“Brad always wanted the kids to have a normal upbringing as possible. He and Angelina used to give them allowances, and they had to save up to buy things but now that’s all out the window,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
Angelina Jolie doesn’t need to spend a huge sum of money on her children just so they would be loyal to her.
