Angelina Jolie went shopping with son Pax amid her custody battle with ex Brad Pitt.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s legal battle over their children’s custody is still ongoing. The latter wants shared custody for their six children. While their case is still ongoing, the Maleficent star stepped out and enjoyed shopping with son Pax.
Angelina Jolie and Pax went shopping
On Saturday, Angelina Jolie was spotted heading to stores in Los Angeles. Jolie looked chic in her form-fitting black dress with a skirt and long sleeves. She paired it with black slide-on mules, a black mask, and a black cross-body purse with gold detailing.
The Salt actress loves going out with her kids, but during the said sighting, she was only with her 16-year-old son Pax. Jolie accompanied Pax as they roamed around to purchase new clothes for the latter.
The mother and son headed to the Urban Outfitters store on Melrose Avenue. It seemed that Pax loves the clothes in the store because Jolie also took him to the same store in February 2019. The duo was photographed with Pax walking close behind his mom as they exited the store.
Jolie and Brad Pitt’s custody battle
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their separation after an alleged altercation on a plane involving their son, Maddox. Pitt and Jolie fought, and Maddox defended his mom. But it allegedly turned into a confrontation between the father and son.
Pitt was subjected to a child abuse investigation and was cleared. A week after their separation, the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services suggested a temporary arrangement giving Jolie full physical custody and granting Pitt visitation right.
Both underwent individual counseling. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star also went through drug and alcohol testing.
This month, the exes will face each other in court for the custody trial.
Angelina advised to be cooperative
Divorce lawyer Christina Previte, Esq, explained Angelina Jolie’s request to change the judge overseeing their divorce and custody battle case. She believed Jolie made the move because she wasn’t getting the results she wanted.
“Whenever a litigant in a divorce case requests a different judge (particularly when the litigation has already started), it’s often because he or she isn’t getting a favorable result with the judge they already have and wants to try to get a more favorable outcome with a new judge,” Previte told Nicki Swift.
Previte advised Jolie to be cooperative moving forward because not doing so can damage her own case.
“If Angelina continues to resist the process and avoid addressing the real issues, she is only going to make herself look bad to the court. She will appear unreasonable and it will appear as though she isn’t making reasonable efforts to resolve the case,” Previte explained.
