Angelina Jolie felt Brad Pitt pressured her to marry him, source claims

Angelina Jolie allegedly felt that her ex-husband Brad Pitt pressured her into marrying him.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt almost dated for a decade before they tied the knot. The Maleficent star and the Ad Astra actor began dating in 2005. However, they only married in 2014, and an insider claimed Jolie was pressured into marriage.

Angelina Jolie not marrying again

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were a picture of a perfect couple when they were still together. However, according to an insider, the actress had no intention of marrying Jennifer Aniston’s ex-husband.

A source told Us Weekly that Jolie “will never get married again.” The source added that she had no plans to tie the knot in the first place and was only pressured in marrying Pitt.

“She felt that Brad pressured her,” the source said.

Jolie said they had no plans to wed

In an interview with Vogue in 2007, Angelina Jolie said she and Brad Pitt had no plans to get married. Among the factor that affected their decision was their previous marriages.

“We have both been married before, so it’s not marriage that’s necessarily kept some people together. We are legally bound to our children, not to each other, and I think that’s the most important thing,” she said.

Of course, things changed for Jolie and Pitt. In 2012, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor proposed to the Salt actress.

“It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time,” Pitt’s spokeswoman Cynthia Pett-Dante confirmed their engagement per Daily Mail.

What did Jolie say about Pitt before their marriage and split

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had a great relationship years before they got married. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2010, Jolie spoke about her “happy home.”

The actress talked about her acting career and hinted about possible retirement. According to Jolie, she loves her craft, but it’s not the most important thing for her. She also mentioned that she might not do acting longer for her family.

“Because I have a happy home,” Jolie said, sounding satisfied with her family.

“I got back from work last night, and everybody was playing music and dancing, and I suddenly found myself dancing around with a bunch of little fun, crazy people.”

Unfortunately, their marriage did not last long. Pitt and Jolie separated in 2016, two years after their wedding.
