Angelina Jolie is “very patient” with her children as they navigate their teenage years for a reason, according to a report.
Angelina Jolie has been spending the quarantine with all of her six children. An insider said the Maleficent star is “incredibly patient” to them because she wants to be comfortable with her.
Angelina Jolie, an ‘incredibly patient’ mom
Angelina Jolie shares six kids with ex Brad Pitt — Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. All of them are under their mom’s care, and she wants them to be open to her. To achieve an “open communication,” Jolie tries to be as loving and kind as she can around them.
“Angelina had a hard time as a teenager. She remembers how tough it was, so she’s incredibly patient with her kids. She wants them to be able to talk to her about anything,” a source told Hollywood Life.
“She does have rules, but she’s not at all what you’d call strict. She gives them a lot of autonomy.”
Angelina follows her mom’s parenting style
Jolie has reportedly followed her mom’s parenting because she was that way to her and her brother when they were growing. Jolie’s mom was very understanding, and she wants to be the same to her children.
Looking back, whenever there are issues, they always talk about it. Having open communication with her kids is among the things she takes pride in as a mom, and she enjoys listening to them.
What Jolie loves about her kids
Angelina Jolie loves having a full house with teenagers. All of her kids have grown up so fast, and her youngest kids, the twins, are turning 13 this summer. She loves every stage of their childhood, and she is very excited that all of them will be teenagers soon.
Jolie said earlier that she enjoyed the quarantine chaos with all of her children at home. The One and Only Ivan star shared how they bond as a family at home. They enjoy the night in their pajamas and robes with lots of snacks like popcorn.
Brad Pitt’s ex-wife is also very proud of how her kids help each other out. She considered themselves lucky that they are together and they have each other.
Jolie and Pitt’s custody battle
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s custody battle is still ongoing. It has been four years since they separated, but they haven’t settled down their legal battle involving their kids yet.
Divorce lawyer Christina Previte, Esq, urged Angelina Jolie to be cooperative in the process. She warned Jolie that resisting the process and avoiding addressing the real issue will only look her bad.
