Angelina Jolie spoke about her relationship with Brad Pitt months after they announced their separation.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s romance was plagued with controversies. There were speculations that they fell in love in 2004 while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

Angelina Jolie still recognized Brad Pitt as a family
In 2017, Angelina Jolie spoke about her and the kids’ relationship with Brad Pitt after their separation. According to her, they remained a family.
That was the reason, the Eternal star was very careful with her words in her interviews. In fact, she and Pitt prefer to remain tight-lipped about the breakdown of their marriage.
“We care for each other and care about our family, and we are both working towards the same goal,” Jolie told Vogue.
Jolie recalled how things turn ‘difficult’
Angelina Jolie went on and shared that “things got bad” by the summer of 2016. However, she corrected herself because she didn’t want to use the word “bad.”
“I didn’t want to use that word . . . Things became ‘difficult,’” Jolie added.
Jolie and kids moving on
Angelina Jolie and her kids with Brad Pitt moved on by moving to a $25 million estate. The 11,000 square-foot Beaux-Arts mansion was previously owned by iconic Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille.
“It’s just been the hardest time, and we’re just kind of coming up for air. [This house] is a big jump forward for us, and we’re all trying to do our best to heal our family,” Jolie said during the interview.
Jolie also praised her kids because they have been very brave. Furthermore, the celebrity mom of six made a cryptic statement about the kids’ healing from something.
“We’re all just healing from the events that led to the filing . . . They’re not healing from divorce. They’re healing from some . . . from life, from things in life.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt after the split
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s were embroiled in a bitter custody battle after their separation. In 2018, they agreed for joint custody, and things have been better for the exes.
They finally learned how to co-parent effectively. In fact, the kids continue seeing their dad even during the lockdown.
“It seems to show they are being far more cooperative and reaching agreements compared to the beginning of the divorce,” LA family law attorney Kelly Chang Rickert told Daily Mail.
