Angelina Jolie is allegedly desperate for work because she is having financial problems, according to a tabloid.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have parted ways for over four years already. However, the exes’ court battle has continued as they haven’t settled their divorce and children’s custody yet. One outlet claimed that Jolie is having financial problems, check out the truth.
Angelina Jolie having financial problems rumor
New Idea is allegedly desperate to find work amid her ongoing divorce with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. Their divorce and custody battle has been going on for years and has already affected their finances, New Idea reported.
It quoted an unnamed source claiming that the Maleficent star, in particular, has been struggling to make ends meet. The outlet added that Jolie has already resorted to begging her friends for roles.
Woman’s Day also claimed that Jolie’s financial problems could affect her chances of winning the custody of her daughter with Pitt, Shiloh. The outlet noted that if Jolie would keep struggling financially, the court might deem her unfit for custody. The tabloid also claimed that Shiloh might choose to live with her dad over her mom.
Jolie’s financial problem rumor debunked
Gossip Cop looked into those reports and found out that it was not true. First, Angelina Jolie doesn’t need to beg her friends for roles. She has no trouble booking acting roles, and the report that she had to beg her friends for roles is false.
Second, the rumor-debunking site is very popular and has owned a number of properties. So, it’s unbelievable that she was so broke and had to beg for small roles.
Gossip Cop clarified. that Jolie is neither broke nor struggling. The outrageous claims from the aforementioned two outlets didn’t make any sense.
What’s the truth about Jolie’s finances
L.A. divorce attorney Kelly Chang Rickert shared her thoughts about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce and custody battle. According to her, their case could become the most expensive divorce case in Hollywood history because they both employ reputable attorneys and a private judge. Rickert believed that both have already spent at least a million for their legal battle.
However, the claim that Jolie is having a financial problem is unlikely true. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie said she has stopped directing following her split from Pitt. She also decided to be picky with her work projects because she wants to spend more time at home with her children.
Since Jolie no longer directs, she returns to taking few acting jobs. However, she chooses shorter jobs to be home most of the time. If she was desperate for work, she would not be picky with her acting projects.
