Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce battle is one for the record. It has been four years since they announced their split, but their divorce and custody battle is ongoing.
Their court battle is not just lengthy; it’s pretty expensive, too. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are doing everything to have the right over their six kids.
So, what are the lengths that the ex-couple has gone through to win this fight?
Angelina Jolie, Pitt’s kids at the center of a messy legal battle
Pitt and Jolie’s custody battle has begun this week, and the 56-year-old actor called in a whopping 21 witnesses to support his case.
The Ad Astra star wants to have a 50-50 split when it comes to his children’s custody with the 45-year-old actress.
However, as the “ultimate mama bear,” a source told The Sun Jolie is “desperate to protect her kids” even from their father.
“The kids have been shielded to a large extent,” the insider explained. “But they’re old enough to have a pretty strong sense of what’s going on.”
So, it hurts Pitt to know the children are at the center of their messy legal battle that long.
“Angelina is still the ultimate mama bear who insists she’ll walk through fire to protect them from anyone — even their own father,” the tipster continued. “She’s proud of the strength and maturity the kids have shown throughout this nightmare process.”

The never-ending custody battle
By looking at how things are going between Pitt and Jolie, they may never reach a face-to-face compromise.
So, the source added there’d been a lot of “finger-pointing and sniping” from each other’s camps.
“The communication between Brad and Angie is virtually non-existent, the insider revealed. “They’re both digging in harder than they’ve ever done before.”
They’ve hired the best attorneys there is. After a lengthy relationship, the tipster continued that it’s incredibly sad they’ve come to this.
“There’s unlikely to be an official ruling until right before Christma,” the source explained. “Of course, in the meantime, it’s all hanging over the family’s heads like the darkest of clouds.”
Pitt and Jolie are both working with their legal teams to create a list of witnesses that will help them strengthen their arguments.
In the Seven star’s case, he has to have more witnesses, believing he has to “cite as many anecdotes as possible” from credible sources. These people will vouch for his parenting skills and ability to provide for the kids’ needs.
Brad Pitt may convince the judge to give him 50% custody, visitation rights, and overnight stays with the kids, just like what Angelina Jolie has.
The judge may finally decide on the case on Dec. 21, but it still depends on how it will flow.
