Nintendo is getting very handy with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and they are showing their dedication to it through events and updates. Players are in luck as just a few days from now; the anticipated International Museum Day event will begin.
International Museum Day is an actual real-world event that takes place on May 18. Of course, Nintendo is hoping to jump in on the celebrations through Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The event is just perfect, considering how many can’t go out to visit real-life museums. Here’s everything there is to know about this event in the game.
When does the event run?
The event runs from May 18 to May 31. This event will feature exclusive items for players who need to participate in it as they could wait and extra year if they want a shot at getting these items again.
How does it work?
The International Museum Day event is a Stamp Rally. Once the event starts, players should head over to their museum to speak to Blathers. The owl will then instruct them to go inside the Fossil, Bugs, and Fish areas of the museum. The art section will not be a part of the event.
Once inside the wings, players will need to look for a total of nine stamps. Each wing of the museum will have three stamps each. Players can participate in the event for as long as the event runs, but each time, the stamps will be placed on a different area of the museum wings.
The good thing is that the stamps aren’t hard to miss and that the sections in the museum are relatively small. This is a great way for players to get more acquainted with their museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
What are the rewards?
Players will get a golden plaque commemorating each of the wings of the museum that’s a part of the event. While players can participate in the event daily up until May 31, the rewards at the end will remain the same.
The plaques can be displayed in the homes of players, so for those that want to spruce up their home with something unique, now’s the chance to do so.
This is just one of the events on Nintendo’s lineup of planned activities for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. After the International Museum Day is done, players will then have access to a romantic event in June as Nintendo brings in wedding-themed pictorials for next month.
