Anime releasing in 2021: From new series to sequels to blu-ray and more!

The upcoming year looks brighter for anime and manga lovers. There will be a slew of anime releasing in 2021, and you may find yourself drowning in the number of episodes or DVDs you have to watch.

Twenty-twenty-one will feature a plethora of new anime series and sequels. Blu-ray and DVD releases will also flow this year.

Some of the titles are initially part of the 2020 slate but have been pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The release dates may also change without prior notice.

Anime releasing in 2021

Some of the anime series that will be out in January are Beastars Season 2 and Soko Musume Senki. The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgment joins the list, along with Heaven’s Design Team, and The Promised Neverland Season 2.

Fans will also see Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Cour 1 next year.

Also on the list are World Trigger Season 2 and Re: Zero − Starting Life in Another World Season 2 Cour 2. Cells at Work Season 2, The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2, and Kansatsu Nikki Season 3 will be out in January 2021, among many others.

There will only be one release in February with Maiko-san chi no Makanai-san, while there will be several in April, per Spoiler Guy. Edens Zero, Godzilla Singular Point and I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years, and Maxed Out My Level will be out in the said month.

Of course, the much-awaited My Hero Academia Season 5 will also drop this month.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Cour 2 and TsukiPro the Animation Season 2 will be seen in July.

In October, there will only be two releases — Muv-Luv Alternative and Osama Ranking.

Blu-Ray and DVD release in 2021

According to Anime UK News, Bungo Stray Dogs Seasons 1 and 2 will be out in January, along with Golden Kamuy Season 2. Dragon Ball Z Season 4, Hunter x Hunter Set 2, Black Clover Season 2 will also drop this month.

In February, fans will see Fruits Basket Season 2 Part 1, Bungo Stray Dogs Season 3, and Dragon Ball Z Season 5.

Fans will see the coming of My Hero Academia Season 4 Part 2 in March, along with Dragon Ball Z Season 6 and Hunter x Hunter Set 3. Fruits Basket Season 2 Part 2 will also be out this time, along with Fairy Tail: Final Season Part 4.

However, these Blu-Ray and DVD anime releasing in 2021 are just for the first quarter. So, fans have to wait for further announcements to see the complete slate.
