After a shocking announcement of replacement, actress Emma Fuhrmann has eventually expressed her reactions regarding Ant-Man 3.
According to Screen Rant, Emma Fuhrmann, who appeared as a grown-up Cassie Lang in Avengers: Endgame, just revealed her emotions. On Tuesday, in her tweets, she wrote about how she felt about knowing that she’s was replaced by Kathryn Newton in Ant-Man 3.
Originally, Fuhrmann was selected to play Scott Lang’s daughter. However, Disney’s Investor Day event saw Kathryn Newton getting announced for the character. Kevin Feige himself revealed this news.
“Ant-Man 3 Quantumania” to have a new Cassie Lang!
Everybody saw what happened during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Due to Thanos’s snap, half of the universe’s population gets decimated. When Scott somehow comes back to the present world, there’s a jump of five years already. And when he reaches home, he finds his daughter Cassie. She was seen as a grown-up teenager since the last time she appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
In that scene of the father-daughter reunion, viewers saw actress Emma Fuhrmann portraying Cassie Lang. But now that Kathryn Newton is the new face for the part, it has turned out as a big shock for everyone, including Fuhrmann herself. However, she’s currently not losing hopes for a future in the MCU. She’s expecting another role in any other project, if not Ant-Man 3.
I will always be grateful to have been a part of the MCU & the biggest movie of all time. Being an actress is still my #1 passion & I look forward to what the future holds.

Although it seems unlikely, it might happen as an exception. There is one current example of a particular actor portraying more than one role in the Marvel movies. Gemma Chan, who played Doctor Minerva in Captain Marvel, will also appear in Eternals! In the upcoming cosmic epic, she will be seen as Sersi.
So it looks like that in the case of Emma Fuhrmann, too, Marvel Studios can bend the rules if it wants to include her in any other title.
Upcoming MCU movies and shows in future phases
Meanwhile, fans of the franchise are impatiently waiting for the cinematic universe to entertain them once again. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact, 2020 saw no releases from Marvel’s side, along with many other studios.
But the new year will surely have amazing surprises for the die-hard fandom of all MCU characters. WandaVision will initiate the Phase four journey on the Disney Plus streaming service. Then Falcon and the Winter Soldier will carry the enthusiasm forward.
Black Widow will eventually see a theatrical release next year in May. Shang-Chi, Eternals, and Spider-Man 3 are also among highly-awaited installments.
After coming back to Ant-Man 3, its official name was also revealed during Disney’s Investor Day event. It will be called Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer will reprise their roles once again.
