The new gaming industry won’t tolerate any offensive behavior. And Apex Legends developer Respawn is very clear on that.
Lead designer on Apex Legends, Daniel Klein, just confirmed on Twitter that Respawn had fired him. And it’s because of the abusive and offensive comments he made in the past.
‘Apex Legends’ designer fired for racist and offensive comments
Daniel Klein made several objectionable and hurting remarks in the past. He once said that women had “moron chromosomes,” along with other explicit words.
There was another conversation in which he compared African people to animals.
Unfortunately for Kein, these comments began resurfacing last month. And taking full responsibility for the words that he said, he then shared his apology on Twitter.
“I take full ownership for the things I said, and I’m embarrassed, sad, and angry at my younger self for saying this stuff.”
Few people, like Respawn director of communications Ryan Rigney, supported him.
Rigney said that Klein had informed him initially about this incident. And he also said that the present version of him is nothing like the one from 2007.
However, unlike Rigney, others at Respawn didn’t have such views forex Apex Legends designers.
As a result of that, the developing company eventually fired him.
Since last Friday, Klein is no longer working for Respawn.
Hopefully, he will now keep working on becoming a better person in the future, according to himself.
On the gaming front, fans of Apex Legends are currently waiting for its first-ever mobile port. It’s expected to launch before the end of this year.

Upcoming video game titles
Meanwhile, gaming enthusiasts are looking forward to many big titles in 2021’s remaining half.
As far as the most anticipated games are concerned, there’s Far Cry 6, Battlefield 2042, and Dying Light 2.
New World, the next Call of Duty, Humankind, Stray, Deathloop, No More Heroes 3, and Little Devil Inside are also on the list.
However, the line-up extends even further with the likes of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Back 4 Blood, and Cyber Shadow.
Shadow Warrior 3, Riders Republic, Life Is Strange: True Colors and Death’s Door are other key launches.
Recently announced Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, Glitchpunk, Etched Memories, and The Day Before will make their debuts soon.
Coming back to Apex Legends, again, then the free-to-play game is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
