Respawn Entertainment is brewing some big changes for Apex Legends Season 6, and fans are more than excited. Just recently, the developers have given us a first look at what’s to come.
Respawn Entertainment’s Boosted Launch gameplay trailer has officially arrived. It showed us an extended look at what’s to arrive in Apex Legends Season 6, and we’re sure that fans are excited as well. Here’s are the key elements found in the new trailer.
World’s Edge changes
From the trailer, we can see that while there isn’t a new map that’s going to be introduced, World’s Edge is at least going to get some major changes. Like King’s Canyon before it, the new map will be remade. The last time the map got changed was during the fourth season of the game.
The trailer teases that there will be more geysers, new structures, and more other elements being added to the map. That being said, players will need to familiarize themselves with it once again.
The new trailer gave us a glimpse of Rampart and what she can do. From what we’ve seen, it seems like her turrets are going to be a huge change to the meta. This might be her ultimate ability based on what we’ve seen. If it’s a permanent turret, then players can expect that every person on the map will be able to use it, much like how Loba’s Black Market is usable by everyone.
Apex Legends Season 6 will also introduce crafting to the battle royale. The trailer gave us a short look at the new feature. Based on what we’ve seen, crafting will be exclusive to certain areas on the map. Most particularly, in small structures similar to respawn beacons. Once near these structures, players can summon various weapons or attachments. The trailer shows off the player summoning a Devotion LMG, which comes with some energy ammo.
The new season will also introduce the highly anticipated Volt SMG. This weapon from Titanfall has long been rumored for the game, and now it’s finally arriving. Based on what we’ve seen, it won’t be a care package weapon, so players will find it lying on the map.
Apex Legends Season 6 arrives in just a few days, and players should rush those final levels on their current battle pass. The new trailer also shows off what’s coming in the battle pass, but it’s only a glimpse of the full bonuses.
