Thanks to the iPhone 12 series’s massive sales, Apple is now expected to become worth $3 trillion in valuation by the end of 2021.
It seems like there’s nothing that can stop the growing demand for the latest iPhone 12 models. And due to this, Apple might end up being worth $3 trillion in valuation by the end of the year, as per Wedbush’s analysis.
Various experts are calling the ongoing phase a “supercycle” due to iPhone 12’s huge sales.
Apple: An unstoppable force right now
Wedbush said that the California tech giant would do great this year in its recent note to investors. It might do even better than what Wall Street projected previously. And thus, it’s quite impressive to observe.
Wedbush analysts Daviel Ives and Strecker Backe said that Apple might sell 240 million iPhone units in 2021. And if the demand keeps going higher than expected, then there’s a possibility of even touching the “eye-popping” figure of 250 million units.
This new prediction is higher than Wall Street’s projection of 220 million. So if the results come out as per the analysis, then the company will also beat its record of 2015. More than five years ago, Apple sold nearly 231 million iPhones.
The big reason for the current favorable projections is the iPhone 12 series witnessing robust demand in Asian nations.
Around 350 million iPhones are expected to be a part of upgrades by the customers. And that will result in an “unprecedented upgrade cycle,” as per the analysts.
The predominant model is the iPhone 12 Pro version at the moment. Since its launch, many consumers are showing a great interest in the model.
Wedbush also mentioned China as the primary revenue source as far as new models’ sales are concerned.
“We see considerable strength from the China region thus far with positive trends heading into the rest of 2021.”
New reveals of 2021
Meanwhile, the California tech giant is working hard on its targets this year, just like 2020. There are many new products set to arrive soon in coming months.
In March, an event is likely to take place. Its main reveals are expected to be AirTags and AirPods Studio.
Going further then there is the WWDC in June. Its top highlight will be the upcoming iOS 15 software for Apple devices. And obviously, it will introduce even better privacy and customization options.
Before the year-end, there will be an ultimate announcement of the next iPhone lineup as well. It’s rumored to bring a ton of new design changes as well as features. Some of the speculations are pointing towards a portless look, 120Hz display, and a smaller notch.
