Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak used the phrase “amazing mathematical miracle” to describe bitcoin during his presentation at the Talent Land Jalisco 2021.
Wozniak though was quick to clarify that he is not an investor in the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization but one that believes in it for the future.
One of the founders of the company behind the iPhone and iPad, Wozniak has always been a fan of bitcoin and has mentioned the asset on several occasions over the years. In fact, in 2018, he revealed his participation in a crypto startup and spoke highly of digital currency.
Thoughts about bitcoin
“It’s so independent. It’s kind of like the internet when it was brand new. I was amazed at the technology behind it,” said the Apple official about Bitcoin back then.
But just the same, months before he made this statement, speaking at the Nordic Business Forum in Sweden, he said he wasn’t obsessed with the fast-growing virtual asset.
That time, Wozniak said, “I had bitcoin to experiment with and when it shot up high, I said ‘I don’t want to become one of those people that watches it, watches it and cares about the number.”
The Talent Land Jalisco 2021
The event where the Apple co-founder called bitcoin a mathematical miracle was 100% in digital format and saw more than 2 million attendees that are dedicated to the development of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
Although he hasn’t invested in the cryptocurrency, Wozniak was not short on compliments about the asset, adding it is a very profound invention.
As far as crypto is concerned, Wozniak has a digital currency that carries his name, called WOZX. It was developed by him and the Efforce team as an energy savings token.
