Apple has launched its iPad pro model for 2021 in the spring event. Here is everything you need to know about the gadget.
Apple- An eventful night
Apple announced a variety of products in the April 20 spring-loaded event. It included much-expected Apple Airtags, a new iMac in many colors, a purple iPhone 12, and the new iPad Pro 2021; this iPad Pro has some major changes, including a powerful M1 chip and an improved display.
This Apple iPad Pro 2021 is available for pre-booking from April 30 around the world. You can get the iPad after booking in May. Analysts suspect that the first stock of iPad pro-2021 is limited due to an ongoing chip shortage.
Available variants
This iPad model comes in two display sizes, an 11-inch model and a 12.9-inch model. The 12.9 inch one costs much higher than the 11-inch variant. These tablets come in both Wi-Fi and cellular models, with cellular models costing higher.
The 12.9-inch variant has a new display technology called mini-LED display. Apple markets this tech as Liquid Retina XDR, which would create crisp, detailed pictures in the iPad, with this being the most advanced display in an iPad ever.
The 12.9-inch model is 6.4 mm thicker than the previous model due to the mini LED display.
Apple has stated that the specifications of the iPad include 1600 nits of peak brightness and a million to one contrast ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The display’s resolution is 2732 x 2048. The 11-inch model has a LED screen. The pixel density of both models is 264 pixels per inch.
M1 Chip- A Major improvement
The major addition to iPad Pro 2021 is the M1 chip. This has impressed users with the latest MacBook and is one of the best chips in the market. This new chip increases the CPU performance by 50% and GPU performance by 40%.
The chip I said to have eight cores. The tablet has 8GB and 16GB RAM models, with storage options from 128 GB to 2 TB.
The new iPad Pro 2021 has a thunderbolt port to transfer larger files much more accessible and has a larger bandwidth to stream videos up to 6K. This iPad has 5G connectivity and mmWave connectivity.
Battery and Camera specs
Apple said that this iPad Pro’s battery life is up to 10 hours. This iPad’s front camera is now a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and has a 122-degree field of view.
This camera has a new center-stage feature, allowing the user to be in the center during video calls and other such usages.
This is the most outrageously capable and versatile iPad Pro we’ve ever made! With the breakthrough M1 chip, Thunderbolt, the Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage, 5G, and the 12.9-in model with Liquid Retina XDR, we think you’re going to love it! https://t.co/7ntu72egMi

The back camera is the same one from the previous model, a 12MP f/1.8 main camera and 10MP f/2.4 ultra-wide camera on the back. The new M1 chip has a new image signal processing process to take detailed pictures.
The 11-inch Wi-Fi iPad Pro’s price starts from $799 in the U.S. ($1,199), while the 12.9-inch Wi-Fi model starts from $1,099 in the U.S. ($1,649).
