In line with iPhone 12 models, Apple confirmed that iPadOS updates over cellular support on the new iPad Pro when Allow More Data on 5G enabled.
Apple’s iPad Pro 2021 schedule on May 27, and since then, Apple has disclosed more about the tablet in supporting papers covering several subjects such as the Liquid Retina XDR display, Thunderbolt, the USB4 supports, 5G mobile networking, and the new Center Stage video call camera function.
The revolutionary 2D mini-LED backlight technology with individually regulated local dimming areas was the optimum solution for offering the extremely high entire screen luminosity, contrast, and off-axis color correctness depending on the workflows of creative professionals.
New features for Apple iPad Pro
Apple has reported the Liquid Retina XDR display to provide a maximum luminosity of 1600 nits for highlights in up to 40 percent when the rest of the image is dark or up to 600 nits bright.
On the Liquid Retina XDR blog, Apple said that a whole new display architecture on iPad Pro was necessary to achieve the extreme dynamic range.
Moreover, up to 1000 nits, full-screen brightness may support the Liquid Retina XDR display.
For the M1 chip, the motor driving the new display, Apple said in the M1 chip paper that the advanced display motor of an M1 chip equips with customized algorithms, functioning at the pixel level to control the small LED and LCD layers of the display individually, treating them as a two independent display.
These own algorithms coordinate the transition between the mini-LED and LCD layers to achieve the optimum visual experience.
Normal behavior, including mild blur or color shift while scrolling across black surfaces, are transitional properties of local dim zones.
Apple also supported a broad ecosystem of high-performance Thunderbolt and USB4 peripherals, noted on the Apple Support blog iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch. Some attachments may need your iPad for more power, which might reduce the battery life.
The 5G lineup of Apple
Apple revealed that mobile iPadOS updates would be enabled on the new iPad Pro, according to iPhone 12 models, when “Allow More 5G Data” is activating.
They include FaceTime, higher-quality content on Apple TV, songs and videos on Apple Music, and cell-based iPadOS upgrades. This setting allows applications from third parties to use more mobile data for improved experiences.
The new iPad Pro also includes a new Center Stage Ultra Wide Front Camera, which is a new function that keeps your users automatically precisely framed when you call FaceTime.
