Apple iPhone 12 Announcement is on Sept. 10

Apple may have revealed the date for the announcement of the upcoming iPhone 12 after posting a live stream test on YouTube recently.

A software engineer spotted a test feed on Apple’s YouTube page on Aug. 21. Later on, the guy posted a screenshot of the test on Twitter on the same day, tagging the technology website 9to5Mac. This information is all regarding the upcoming iPhone 12.

There may be four iPhone 12 models in three different screen sizes coming up this year: the iPhone 12 (5.4-inch), 12 Max (6.1-inch), 12 Pro (6.1-inch), and 12 Pro Max (6.7-inch).

Can we expect the iPhone 12 on Sept. 10?

Apple has not confirmed the names of the phones yet, but we’ll go with iPhone 12, Pro, and Max for now.

Apple iPhone 12 Announcement is on Sept. 10

Apple is planning to release four 5G-ready models this year. According to CNET, we can expect the 5.4-inch iPhone 12, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. The maxed-out version could go as high as $1,399.

Apple accidentally lists a possible date for the new flagship’s launch event. A Twitter user posted a screenshot of a possible Apple live stream event scheduled for Sept. 10. The date and time of the event appeared on Apple’s YouTube page, but its channel currently doesn’t have any upcoming events.

The Sept. 10 date will be consistent with past announcements, though Apple could delay the shipping date until later due to COVID-19 pandemic. As past rumors have claimed, Apple has warned the 2020 iPhone lineup is delayed.

Is October the launch date?

Another mobile leaker and FrontPage Tech host, Jon Prosser, reported that it is possible for the Apple’s upcoming device to be introduced during an Oct. 12 event and will ship out Oct. 19.

According to his information, Apple will hold the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro event in the week beginning on October 12. Apple will then open pre-orders for this year’s smartphones the same week. Then, the company will start shipping the following week, which starts on October 19.

The larger variant is expected to ship sometime in November.

Prosser, on his Twitter page, also shared the announcement of the next-gen affordable iPad 10.2 and the Apple Watch Series 6 – the week starting September 7. He mentioned that Apple wouldn’t hold a special event for the two devices. But would rather launch them with a press release.

However, this has confused us since the Sept. 10 event originated from Apple’s own YouTube page. You are to decide which information you will believe.
