Some Apple iPhone 12 buyers who have checked UPS’ tracking service have discovered listings for their orders, with the products “In Transit” to their destination.
Tech giant’s freshest mobile device is finally on the market. The first Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro preorders have started shipping out to early buyers.
Generally speaking, this doesn’t mean you should expect your iPhone 12 order to arrive any earlier than the Oct. 23 release date. However, if you check your order status via Apple’s website, you’ll likely see that your iPhone is still “preparing to ship.”
Track your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro
As reported by 9to5Mac, if you head to the UPS website, you will be able to track the progress of your iPhone order with a few simple steps.
First, you must enroll or get an account on the UPS My Choice platform. If not, you can use the “Track by Reference Number” feature. The reference number might be the phone number listed on your Apple order or your order number without the last two digits.
For clarification, not all iPhones have been transferred to UPS just yet. Do not panic if you check your order and the status doesn’t appear. Just be sure to keep checking throughout the week.
Apple has not updated the shipment status of new iPhone orders through its website. However, as we get closer to the release date of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, we can anticipate it so that the release will be official.
The last thing you should do is to keep in mind that just because orders are already shipping doesn’t mean you can expect your device to arrive early. Apple is working closely with UPS to make sure that shipments arrive no earlier than Friday, Oct. 23. Therefore, regardless of what the estimated date shown in UPS indicates, you might wait until its official release date.
MagSafe Charger and cases arriving ahead of time
One of the unique features of this year’s Apple iPhones is MagSafe. This new characteristic is present on the entire iPhone 12 series. It lets users easily attach accessories magnetically to the backside of the phone.
In addition to new cases, MagSafe also enables fast induction charging through new Apple MagSafe chargers. MagSafe Charger works as a Qi charger, but it fits perfectly on iPhone 12.
According to reports, customers are getting MagSafe Charger and iPhone 12 cases ahead of the phone itself. Users have been sharing photos and even videos on social media of these new accessories.
