Apple’s increased interest in blockchain and digital assets is reflected in the job posting. The company is said to be focusing on cryptocurrency-related projects.

Tim Cook, the business’s CEO, has stated that crypto is something the company is considering, but has provided no further information.
Keeping eye on crypto
Apple Pay Vice President Jennifer Bailey remarked in September 2019 that the business was “monitoring cryptocurrencies” and believes it has “interesting long-term potential.”
The company then hired Jeff Bronikowski, Warner Music’s former head of technical innovation, in February 2020, who was working on a number of blockchain projects to create digital assets using the Flow public blockchain.
The company has also hinted at a metaverse excursion, which would fit in nicely with any digital asset intentions.
It joins a slew of other prominent tech companies bidding for space, including Microsoft and Meta.
For bitcoin purchases, Coinbase has already integrated Apply and Google Pay. Apple Pay is now available in the MetaMask app for iOS. All of this has made it easier for people to get into cryptocurrency.
