According to a known leaker, Apple will release its game controller and an ARM-Based 12-inch MacBook. Twitter handler @L0vetodream posted updates that gave followers a glimpse of what the Cupertino tech giant has in store for Apple followers in the days ahead.
The leaker’s series of Twitter updates from March to April made rumors online as the said leaks turned out to be true.
On one of the March Twitter updates, the leaker said that Apple’s new iPad Air will use mini-LED screens. The post added that the release will come in full screen with no notch and will feature under-the-screen touch ID instead of Face ID.
There is still no hint from Apple if the said product will roll out soon. Yet, a statement from Ming-Chi Kuo, one of Apple’s analysts implied that Apple is indeed working to launch an under-the-screen touch ID by 2021 for its iPhone devices.
Another revelation from the trusted leaker revealed an ARM-based 12-inch MacBook. If proven true, the revival of the 12-inch MacBook could be the beginning of the much-awaited Apple Mac line ARM transition.
Early March, the semi-anonymous leaker also undisclosed Apple’s alleged plan to release its game controller. The Tweet said that the project will roll out by 2021.
However, questions arose on the reliability of the statement as it came a few months after Apple added support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers. The support came along the iOS 13 release for iPhone and iPad to open for third-party MFI game controller accessories complement.
Reports say that if the tech giant decides to push through with its game controller, this would mean a completely different step from opening Xbox and PlayStation support.
The leaker also mentioned in his Twitter post a list of devices and product updates that Apple is working on. The list includes updates to iMac and Apple TV.
On the other hand, the list of Apple’s alleged product releases includes MacBook Pro and iMac Models, a cheaper iPad powered by A12 Bionic chip and the third generation of AirPods.
The post mentioned the release of four-device iPhone 12 lineup with A14 Bionic chips and a ProMotion refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The leaker added that UWB/Bluetooth AirTags trackers and HomePod Lite is set to come out as well.
