After pulling back the next software version on Thursday, Apple finally released iOS 14.3 beta 1. And it’s packing some really great features.
According to Apple Track, iOS 14.3 beta 1 update was just released. The much-awaited beta version finally introduces the much-hyped “ProRAW” camera photography mode on iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models.
It was funny to observe how Apple first released, then pulled back the new beta on Thursday. It happened twice because the company observed that the software possibly leaked something. But what?
Well, it was “some” details on the next future products that are yet to be announced. And sometimes, it happens that the interface in a new iOS version leaks out key information.
What’s new in iOS 14.3 beta 1?
When it comes to what’s exclusive to the new beta release, then there’s a lot to experience. Firstly, the support for scanning App Clips is finally there, and it can be done through the camera. Moreover, in the Health app, women can now find a separate “Pregnancy” section to track their routine and details. It may turn out quite vital for them.
For gamers, now there’s also the support of PS5 and Luna controllers. And the Home app now allows HomeKit accessory updates directly from within itself.
Interestingly, in Settings, Ecosia is now also added as a default search engine option. That’s because it’s also related to the environment and promotes a greener world, inspiring people to plant more trees. On the official website, it says:
“Make Ecosia your new search engine and plant trees with your searches – for free!”
Lastly, there’s also a new feature called ProRAW for the latest iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models. In the Hi, Speed event in October, Apple claimed that the new model would change how iPhone users and professionals do photography.
The possible impact of ProRAW
Specifically speaking of the newest photography mode, ProRAW is very crucial for Apple and the new iPhone 12 Pro variants. Upon its first announcement, many tech reviewers and analysts were keen to try it soon.
Now it’s available for the developers, as of now, and they can see for themselves whether it’s worth all the hype or not. Before it arrived, the regular tests showed no actual difference in iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro versions. So it will be interesting to see how the new model changes mobile photography in the latest line-up.
For those unaware of this year’s biggest model, the 12 Pro Max also possesses a new sensor and hardware improvements. All that is to boost the already great iPhone photography. And with iOS 14.3 beta coming out, the ProRAW feature will possibly turn out as the most-tried-out thing on the premium variants.
