iPhone 12 supplier Foxconn recently revealed that the newest model resulted in huge profits in the first quarter of 2021.
Foxconn posted revenues amounting to $1 billion following the bumper sales of iPhone 12 in Q1.
The supplier said that the smartphone smashed all expectations in terms of sales.
iPhone 12 series is only getting stronger!
News outlet Reuters reported that Taiwan-based Foxconn had “better than expected” first-quarter profit this year.
Its also because most users are currently working from home due to the pandemic. And thus, there’ been a surge in demand for electronic devices.
The world’s largest contract electronics maker, Foxconn, is officially known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co.
The supplier said that during the period between January and March, the revenue increased to T$28.2 billion ($1 billion). It’s way higher than the past figure of T$2.1 billion.
iPhone 12 resulted in a profit that is above previous projections of an amount of T$24.41 billion.
However, as per new reports, the second quarter might not be as good for Foxconn. The global chip shortage may lead to a decline in sales.
Shipments could see a fall by ten percent.
Coming onto the ongoing iPhone series, then the regular, non-pro model has been the star of the show so far.
Since its launch last year, iPhone 12 has witnessed a constant surge in its demand from consumers worldwide.
Apple even acknowledged this fact weeks ago, saying that the phone was its most popular model of Q2 2021.
