Apple to fix App Tracking Transparency bug on new update

Users hit by the app tracking transparency bug reported that device applications could not bid for their approval. The permission before tracking their personal data by unofficial third parties isn’t prompting.

Apple ultimately issued its much-awaited official iOS 14.5 updates, tending on a compelling anti-tracking framework. It compels developers to ask users for permission before hunting them over applications.

The users will gain the new ‘App Tracking Transparency’ characteristic, particularly in iOS 14.5 platforms at launch. However, the strange and in-explicit bug made delay repairing them. The company has con-temporarily patched up in the iOS 14.5.1 update that was released on 04 May 2021.

App Tracking Transparency bug

This update may vary depending on the model. Many iPhone users have reported that a bug has occurred in their device that is not allowing them to access the privacy-related feature app tracking transparency prompt given after the iOS 14.5 update.

Moreover, Apple has also released the updated version of the iPad OS 14.5.1, macOS Big Sur 11.3.1, and watch-OS 7.4.1. The iOS 14.5.1 is set to available for iPhone 6s and later phone models.

Changes in the new update

A minor change has been introduced first and foremost to fix bugs fending off users from acquiring the ‘App Tracking Transparency’ prompt.

As stated in the new changelog, “The latest update fixes the bug of the App Tracking Transparency option. Meanwhile, it is being stated that few users who disabled the ‘Allow Apps to Request to Track‘ were not enabled after re-enabling it. The prompt will not be discovered.”

This up-to-date also gives important security updates, which are mandatory for every end-user.

9to5Mac claims that many users are still unable to use the option even after upgrading to iOS 14.5.1.

If you have not obtained the new iOS 14.5.1 update, you can also check it on your own. And for the same, you have to go to the ‘Settings’ option. After it, move to General and click the ‘Software Update.’

Apple has uncovered the watch-OS 7.4.1 update for ‘Apple Watch Series 3‘ and above versions. The watch-OS 7.4 update was a major upgrade given that users would be able to unlock the device with the Apple Watch after wearing a face mask.

But, no data has been given about what is fresh in watch-OS 7.4.1 for Apple Watch or what bug has been removed. The watch-OS 7.4.1 update is about 60 MB in size.

The complete changelog has not been delivered for this paltry update of the macOS 11.3.1 update. It has been declared that macOS Big Sur 11.3.1 comes up with mandatory security updates, which is significant for all users.
