The leaker claimed that the Apple Watch SE would retain the old design of the Apple Watch, meaning it’ll have the Digital Crown. And it will only come in an aluminum version.
Are you waiting for the Apple Watch 6?
If you are looking for an affordable yet full pack smartwatch, read on. Get to know this new Apple’s newest Watch SE.
Apple Watch SE Price and availability
The launch of the Apple Watch Series 6 is nearly upon us. However, new rumors suggest it could be joined by a cheaper smartwatch, which will be called the Apple Watch SE.
The iPhone SE is the company’s budget alternative to the iPhone 11, and it seems the company is following suit with the Apple Watch.
Apple already offers a low-cost version of the Series 3, which enjoys the core features of the Apple Watch. The only downside is that it comes with an older boxier design. The Series 3 doesn’t get features like ECG, fall detection, or always-on display. But still, it’s a very useful smartwatch.

As reported by Wareable, a leading Apple tipster tweeted something intriguing about the upcoming device. The Apple Watch SE is rumored to retain the old Series 3 design but will get a boost internally. The leaker didn’t mention the price, but we can conclude that it would have been the same $199 price point of the previous accessory.
For that price, it could be the perfect partner for the iPhone SE come March 2021, when it’s expected to be revealed. And if Apple upgrades the iPhone SE at the same time, we could see a budget line of Apple devices expand into an ecosystem for people who don’t want to spend too much money on gadgets.
Specs and Features
The Apple Watch SE will use the internals predicted for the Apple Watch Series 6, with an S6 chip and W4 chip. In terms of design, the rumor suggests that it will retain the old design and aluminum casing.
Also, since we are about the older version of the design, it is safe to expect 38mm and 42mm case sizes rather than the 40mm and 44mm variants that were made possible by reduced bezels.
It would be a blend of modern internals with scaled-back design – just like the iPhone SE. The Watch SE will also use Bluetooth 5 standard and also incorporate functions for international emergency calls. All variants will come with a 16GB of storage and an international SOS calling feature.
