A new report claims that Apple’s iPhone 13 will feature a smaller notch than the present smartphone line-up due to an improved Face ID.
According to iPhone hacks, a DigiTimes report said that the new iPhone 13 would have a smaller notch. Moreover, it will also have an upgraded lens for the ultra-wide camera on the front.
A reduced notch is possible due to an improved Face ID, as per the report.
iPhone 13 early details
A slightly decreased notch was also rumored last year in the iPhone 12 series. However, it didn’t happen, and they had the same size as their predecessors. Now, the new rumors say that this time Apple will use a more compact TrueDepth camera system. And that it will integrate the Rx, Tx, and flood illuminator inside the camera module.
That way, the sensor will become similar to the LiDAR scanner found in the iPhone 12 Pro models. Foxconn and LG Innotek will supply the upgraded Face ID camera module for iPhone 13.
When it comes to how the iPhone 13 notch will be, it might witness a reduced height instead of the width.
Talking about the ultra-wide camera, many sources claim that Apple will use a 6P element lens, up from the current 5P lens. Few more rumors also say that the next iPhone, at last, will have a 120Hz display, an improved cooling system, and an even faster A-chip.
But the most interesting rumor comes from none other than famous leaker Jon Prosser. He says that the new smartphone’s name will be the iPhone 12s. Because number 13 is considered unlucky in the western culture. Well, that’s intriguing speculation, but as of now, most of them should be taken with a grain of salt.
What’s in the Apple store for 2021?
Meanwhile, tech enthusiasts are hoping for some surprises from the California tech giant this year. With the likes of AirTags, AirPods Studio, iOS 15, and a new iPad model, the release line-up looks good already. But it depends on Apple when it will announce them in the coming months.
Although iPhone 13 is the most-awaited thing from the Apple Store, there are few more things to watch out for. Just a while ago, it was officially revealed that an Apple Car would become a reality soon. And that it might arrive by 2024 itself! Thus, people will keep an eye on that and witness the company’s entry into the automobile sector. Another thing to note is the focus on privacy, and the iPhone maker will keep its emphasis on that. In its new software, iOS 15, will try to make the user experience even safer and more secure with added features.
