Arnold Schwarzenegger shared an update to his fans after undergoing a risky procedure to treat his heart.
After undergoing heart surgery, Arnold Schwarzenegger made sure that his fans would be the first ones to know about it.
On Thursday, the 73-year-old Terminator actor revealed on his social media accounts that he underwent heart surgery.
Schwarzenegger detailed that he visited the Cleveland Clinic medical center located in Ohio to have his aortic valve replaced.
He shared the aforementioned news on Instagram and Twitter, which made his fans worried a bit about his health.
“I feel fantastic and have already been walking the streets of Cleveland enjoying your amazing statues,” he captioned his post on Instagram. “Thank you to every doc[tor] and nurse on my team!”
Although it bothered some of his fans, he assured them that he felt better after receiving the procedure.

Fans, friends sent well wishes to Schwarzenegger
As of the writing, Schwarzenegger’s update already reached 2 million fans.
His fans and colleagues took their time to shower him with “get well soon” messages and wishes.
“Glad to hear your doing so well! Be safe & thank goodness for modern medicine,” Dr. Evan Antin said.
“Nothing can kill the Terminator,” one fan said, to which another replied, “He will be back….always.”
Patrick and Katherine Schwarzenegger also left messages for him.
What happened to his heart?
According to Heart.org’s website, he experienced a faulty aortic valve. When this happens, the blood flows abnormally out of your heart. When set aside, it can lead to aortic stenosis, which is also common to adults.
The actor has been dealing with heart defects throughout his life, and it was not the first time he considered surgery.
Previously, he already received open-heart surgery, where the doctors replaced his pulmonary valve. It all started in 1997 when he received the replacement for the first time.
“Governor Schwarzenegger’s pulmonic valve was successfully replaced and he is currently recovering from the surgery and is in stable condition,” Daniel Ketchell, his spokesperson, tweeted two years ago.
Meanwhile, a defective pulmonary valve prevents the blood from flowing normally from the heart to the lungs. This, as well, can lead to more serious diseases like pulmonary valve stenosis and pulmonary valve regurgitation.
Currently, Schwarzenegger is taking all his time to rest and recover, especially when he is most at risk during this pandemic.
