Ashton Kutcher is one of the few celebrities who recently stood up for Ellen DeGeneres amid the backlash that the latter is receiving.
On his Twitter account, Ashton Kutcher shared his experience being on Ellen Show. At the start of his tweet, the actor stressed that he was only speaking from his own experience.
“She and her team have only treated me and my team with respect & kindness. She never pandered to a celebrity which I always saw as refreshing honesty. When things aren’t right, she handles it and fixes,” Kutcher wrote.
Ashton Kutcher faces backlash for supporting Ellen DeGeneres
However, the actor received flak for supporting DeGeneres. One Twitter user said that she understands why some celebrities are showing their support for the comedian.
But it is important to note that former employees are complaining based on what they experienced on the show.
“Can’t that be understood? No one knows what it’s like but them. It’s invalidating what *they* experienced on a regular basis,” the Twitter user wrote.
Kutcher responded to the Twitter user by saying that he understands her point. However, Mila Kunis’ husband didn’t change his stance on the issue.
“Ashton, the point is not her team handled a celebrity but how their team behaved with their own team members. Get it?” Twitter user @DheerMD wrote.
Kutcher replied to the Twitter user by saying that he gets it.
“I also feel people should be held accountable for their actions,” he added.
Another critic said that Ashton Kutcher must have received wonderful treatment when he appeared on Ellen Show because he’s a celebrity.
The actor stressed that the wonderful treatment that he received extended to his team and the people that DeGeneres didn’t know we’re working for him.
Katy Perry, Ashton Kutcher send Ellen love
Kutcher isn’t the only A-lister who has defended DeGeneres amid a slew of criticisms. Katy Perry also tweeted about her experiences guesting on Ellen Show.
DeGeneres’ wife, Portia de Rossi also used the hashtag #IStandByEllen to show her love and support to the funny woman.
However, there are more celebrities who have slammed DeGeneres for, reportedly, being mean.
Brad Garrett, Lea Thompson, Corinne Olympios slam Ellen
Brad Garrett acknowledged that there’s a toxic work environment on Ellen Show. Switched at Birth star Lea Thompson echoed Garrett’s statement.
Even before 10 former Ellen Show employees exposed DeGeneres and the heads of the show, other celebrities have also called out the comedian.
Caitlyn Jenner, Corinne Olympios, and Nikkie Tutorials have also criticized DeGeneres.
By the looks of it, more celebrities like Ashton Kutcher and Garrett will share their thoughts about DeGeneres in the coming days.
